Cancellation policy

Last updated: March 20, 2026

Overview

Mediterranean Week offers certain products on a recurring subscription basis. This Subscription Policy explains how our weekly and monthly subscriptions work, how billing and renewals happen, and how you can manage or cancel your subscription.

This policy applies to subscription purchases made through Mediterranean Week and should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.

1. Subscription products

Mediterranean Week currently offers subscription-based digital meal plans, including:

  • Weekly plan subscriptions
  • Monthly / 4-week plan subscriptions

These subscriptions provide digital access to meal-planning content, including hosted pages, account access, email-based delivery, and/or downloadable files, depending on the plan and current delivery setup.

2. Automatic renewals

When you purchase a subscription, you agree that your subscription will renew automatically according to the billing frequency shown at checkout, unless you cancel before the next renewal is processed.

For example:

  • a weekly subscription renews on a weekly basis;
  • a monthly / 4-week subscription renews on the recurring cycle disclosed at checkout.

Your payment method will be charged automatically on each renewal date unless your subscription has been cancelled before renewal.

3. Payment authorization

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Mediterranean Week and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis for the subscription price, plus applicable taxes, until you cancel.

Your payment details are processed and stored by our payment and subscription service providers in accordance with their own security and processing systems. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.

4. Managing your subscription

You can manage your subscription through the customer subscription portal or through the subscription-management links provided in your order or subscription emails.

Depending on the tools and settings available at the time, you may be able to:

  • cancel your subscription;
  • update your payment method;
  • review billing details;
  • review renewal status; and
  • reactivate a cancelled subscription.

If you have trouble accessing your subscription portal, contact us at support@mediterraneanweek.com. Seal Subscriptions is marketed as providing customer portal and subscription management features, so make sure the portal labels and your store policy say the same thing.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next renewal charge.

If you cancel:

  • future renewals will stop;
  • you will not be charged again after cancellation takes effect;
  • cancellation does not automatically refund the current billing period; and
  • you may continue to have access until the end of the current paid period, depending on how your subscription access is configured.

If you cancel after a renewal charge has already been processed, that renewal will generally remain in effect for the paid billing period unless we decide otherwise or a refund is required by law.

6. Refunds

Refunds for subscription purchases are governed by our Refund Policy.

Because Mediterranean Week products are digital and subscription-based, refunds are generally limited once access has been granted, except:

  • where we made a billing or access error;
  • where required by law; or
  • where we choose to approve a refund in our discretion.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may:

  • retry the payment;
  • send you an email asking you to update your payment method;
  • temporarily restrict access; or
  • cancel the subscription if payment is not successfully collected.

Shopify’s subscription guidance confirms merchants can configure billing-attempt behavior for failed payments in subscription settings.

If your payment fails, you can usually restore access by updating your payment method through your subscription portal.

8. Reactivation

If your subscription has been cancelled or has lapsed due to failed payment, you may be able to reactivate it through your subscription portal or by purchasing again through our store.

Reactivation does not entitle you to a refund for previous billing periods.

9. Changes to subscription pricing or terms

We may change subscription pricing, product features, plan structure, or delivery format from time to time, subject to applicable law. If required, we will provide notice before material changes take effect for future renewals.

10. No pre-orders or try-before-you-buy

Unless we clearly state otherwise on a product page, Mediterranean Week subscriptions are not sold as:

  • pre-orders,
  • partial-payment reservation products, or
  • try-before-you-buy purchases.

Any such wording in a default platform template does not apply unless expressly stated by us.

11. Consumer rights required by law

Nothing in this Subscription Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

Consumer Protection BC explains that online contracts can carry statutory cancellation rights in certain situations, including where required contract information was not provided or the goods/services were not supplied within the legally relevant timeframe; in those statutory situations, a business must refund within 15 days after a valid cancellation.
